Cotton candy was first created in 1897 when dentist William Morrison joined forces with confectioner John C. Wharton. Together, they created a machine that spun heated sugar through a screen, creating the floss-like texture that we all know today. In French, Barbe à Papa means cotton candy, but literally translates to "father's beard".
Barbe à Papa is hand dyed on our 70% kid Mohair 30% silk base. This bright variegated pink, purple, and blue colour way evokes the joyfulness of this childhood treat. This base is great for any next to skin garments or as an accompany yarn to add halo and texture.
* This item ships in 1-2 days.
** Custom orders ship in 1-2 weeks, although I aim to keep this as short as possible. This yarn is hand-dyed in small batches, so no two skeins are exactly alike. I try to post pictures that accurately depict the colour way, however colours may vary from device to device. All yarn is hand washed until the water runs clear, but there could be slight bleeding the first few washes.
Hand wash. Lay flat to dry.
