Hey Blackberry
I said, Hey Blackberry, how you taste so sweet
I said, Hey Blackberry, tell me what you see
Tell me is it interesting
Hey Blackberry, pay some attention to me, ugh!
-Blackberry by the Black Crowes (1996)
Bold, juicy, and impossible to ignore.
Deep blackberry, mulberry, and ripe plum mingle with flashes of orchid and wine in this colour way, while the contrasting dark ply creates striking depth and movement in every stitch. Dyed on our Merino Fingering zebra base, this colourway captures the richness of sun-ripened berries with just enough edge to keep things interesting.
Whether you're knitting simple stockinette or intricate lace, Hey Blackberry offers beautiful tonal variation that shines from cast-on to bind-off.
Suggested Uses
• A show-stopping pair of socks that let the colour do the talking
• A drapey shawl where every colour transition can unfold naturally
• A lightweight cowl that highlights the striking barber-pole effect of the dark ply
About the Base:
Our zebra Merino Fingering is an 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Nylon blend, plied with a dark strand that gives each skein its signature marled look. Soft yet durable, it adds depth and movement to any colourway - perfect for projects that balance texture and tone. It’s a versatile base that works just as well for everyday socks as it does for statement shawls and lightweight sweaters.
This yarn is hand-dyed in small batches, so no two skeins are exactly alike. We try to post pictures that accurately depict the colour way, however colours may vary from device to device.
