Like layers of paint built up on a canvas, Impasto is rich with depth, texture, and unexpected colour. Mossy greens, smoky charcoal, warm ochres, soft peach, vivid pinks, and hints of violet come together in expressive brushstrokes that shift and reveal something new with every twist of the skein.
Hand-dyed on our Merino Zebra Fingering base, the natural black-and-white barber pole creates subtle texture beneath each layer of colour, adding movement and dimension that make every stitch feel like part of the painting.
No two skeins are exactly alike, each one is its own work of art.

About the Base:
Our zebra Merino Fingering is an 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Nylon blend, plied with a dark strand that gives each skein its signature marled look. Soft yet durable, it adds depth and movement to any colourway - perfect for projects that balance texture and tone. It’s a versatile base that works just as well for everyday socks as it does for statement shawls and lightweight sweaters.
 
This yarn is hand-dyed in small batches, so no two skeins are exactly alike. I try to post pictures that accurately depict the colour way, however colours may vary from device to device.
