About Ravelution Yarn Ravelution Yarn was born in the fall of 2021 and grew out of an obsession with vibrant colour and a fascination for all things fibre. My love affair with hand dyed yarn started almost a decade ago but it wasn't until a dear friend sent me a news article about a woman who started dyeing fibre in her house that I even considered doing it myself. From the moment I dyed my first skein, I was hooked and felt like I had finally found my passion, my art, my ikigai ...I was home. About Me Hi! My name is Mélanie and I'm the face behind Ravelution Yarn. Besides being an indie dyer, I'm a mother of two, a wife of one, a daughter, a sister, and a friend to hopefully many. I love knitting, sewing, painting, camping, my collection of plants, and especially anything fibre related. I'm so honoured to be a part of the wider fibre community and appreciative of each and every like, comment, and follow. Thank you for your ongoing support and I look forward to sharing my fibre journey with all of you! India & Penny Meet India and Penny. India (left) is a feisty 17 yr old lady, who loves people but dislikes other furry friends. She's my shadow and always wants to be on the yarn, regardless if that's convenient for me or not. She's getting on with age and she's now deaf, and maybe a little senile, but it doesn't seem to stop her from creating a little chaos! Unfortunately, we recently lost Penny (right) our newest adoptee who came to us January 2023. She was large but not so in charge. Penny was passive, a little standoffish, and had a wicked appetite which we tried to keep in check. Fun fact, she was polydactyl, meaning she had 2 more fingers on each of her paws, even the back ones, which is apparently quite rare. She hated to get her claws trimmed, so it was extra fun trying to trim 8 more! We miss her very much but she's in a much better place now.

We offer a wide range of services for fibre lovers like custom dyeing, memorializing your fresh or dried flowers into fibre, and private knitting or crochet lessons. Services We offer three special services to enhance your personal fibre journey. Have a special project in mind and looking to dye something special? Have an image you would like to see represented in dyed yarn? Well you're in luck because custom dye jobs are our jam and at no extra cost to you! Memorializing with Fibre Do you have a bouquet of flowers from a meaningful event that you would like to memorialize in dried yarn? We can take your fresh or dyed flowers and naturally dye some yarn on the base of your choice for you to use in a special project. Don't want to make it yourself? No problem, we can knit something special for you, like a pair of socks, mittens, tuque, or anything small you can think of. A unique and wearable keepsake for you to cherish or to gift to someone special. Private Lessons Always wanted to learn how to knit or crochet? Stuck in your current project?
